--Summer Collection Presented with Updated Designs for Entry-Level Range of Popular USB Flash Drives.--

EMTEC, a leading manufacturer of USB flash drives and accessories, has officially revealed its redesign of two popular USB flash drive series. Both part of the entry-level range of EMTEC flash drives, the C250 "Candy" series and the C300 "Style" series feature revamped designs, bright colors and modern, rounded shapes in the new C400 and C500 series, respectively.

With its modern, streamlined shape inspired by concept car illustrations, the new C400 "Candy" series features fresh, vibrant colors: a different color for each capacity. Small in size (57 x 19 x 9 mm) the C400 also features a simple but intelligent update: to avoid losing the cap, users can simply lock the cap on the back of the flash drive, much like a ballpoint pen.

Boasting an exclusive EMTEC design, the new C500 "Style" series offers a retro, highlighter-like shape. The capacity of each C500 is indicated on the back of the drive, revealing subtle color on a transparent backing. As with the C400, the C500 allows the cap to be locked onto the end of the flash drive when in use.

Available in 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64 GB capacities, both the C400 and C500 feature read speeds of up to 15 MB/s and write speeds of up to 8 MB/s.

In a continuing effort to protect the environment, EMTEC is also converting its current blister packaging to eco-friendly packaging. The eco-friendly packaging uses 60% less plastic than standard clamshell blister packaging and the paperboard backing is biodegradable and 100% recyclable. Both the C400 and C500 lines of flash drives feature the new eco-friendly packaging.
